product sustainability
here at Disrupting Nirvana it is our goal and our duty to take care of the planet as she takes care of us. we are committed to ensuring the 5th dimension takes priority in our approach to sustainable and ethical practices. our commitment to reducing our footprint within the design and fashion world is a part of every facet and each layer of this brand.
we work within each collection and product to reduce the amount of waste we produce, every garment is made small batch with a focus on natural fibers, for less impact both on the planet and our bodies; all is one. when working with synthetic fibers we strive to only use recycled and repurposed materials.
all of our one of ones use a mix of materials incorporating vintage and thrifted garments in order to craft the end product. by using already discarded material we are able to greatly impact not only our own waste but reduce the waste of others from factory to consumer, a reminder we are all in this together.
innovation through experimentation and the discoveries it brings, is essential to our creative process as well as how we run our business. experimentation allows for evolution and continually keeps our approach fluid. our goal is to innovate without harming humans or our environment while respecting the welfare of animals and all creatures of this planet. it is through our approach and small batch manufacturing processes that we are ensuring our place in a renewed and responsible fashion system, where less is more.
we are committed to continually improving our process and can always find more mindful ways to take care of the planet. as a part of this effort, in addition to using natural fibers, we are working towards using all natural plant dyes with little to no impact on the soil and waters around us, in place of natural based or less impactful dyes already in use. in addition we are committed to replacing all packaging with biodegradable and compost ready materials where applicable, ensuring after the garment leaves our hands no part of it ends up in a landfill.
it's a constant journey we believe never stops and always requires a mindful approach, not only for this generation but for many after us to enjoy this beautiful planet as we do.
